Soucy Insurance Agency, 100 years

Soucy Insurance Agency is celebrating a 100 years of business by paying tribute to the community as well as its company roots. Currently in its third generation of ownership, Soucy Insurance remains committed to the community and the core values of its founding father, Adelard Soucy, who was remembered for always placing the interests and needs of clients above all else.

Soucy’s 100th anniversary began with a public outreach through a Facebook campaign, which resulted in a check presentation of $500 to Connecting for Children & Families as an act of gratitude towards the community.

Their donation was received with great appreciation from the organization. “We would like to thank Soucy Insurance for their generous contribution,” says Terese Curtin, Executive Director of Connecting for Children & Families. “Their dedication to giving back is unmatched, and their generosity will help allow for the improvement of family and community life in Woonsocket.”

David Soucy, president of Soucy Insurance, is grateful of the sustained support of their clients over the years: “We would like to thank the generations of families who have entrusted Soucy Insurance to protect what is important to them,” he said. “While much has changed in 100 years, our agency has remained true to its roots. We pride ourselves on service and are focused on insuring what matters most to the members of our community.”

Under David’s leadership, the agency has expanded immensely and is one of Northern Rhode Island’s largest independent insurance agencies. Among Soucy Insurance Agency’s fourteen employees are men and women of all ages, some of whom have been with the agency for decades. Raymond Caron, Vice President and head of the commercial division, along with Joanne Paul, systems manager and bookkeeper, are thirty-year veterans of the company. Office manager Debbie Zinck has worked for over 20 years with the agency, and their agents have demonstrated infinite devotion to the company name.

Soucy’s service has not gone unnoticed by their clients: “As a policyholder for homeowners insurance through Soucy, I would like to thank them for all they have done for me and my family,” says John Houle of Cranston.  “They have been exceptional in providing the best coverage for what matters most, and I am proud to place my trust in them.”

The Soucy anniversary celebration is about giving back to a community that has kept them in business for the past ten decades. Dedicated to the promise that their service sets them apart, employees of Soucy Insurance emulate a commitment to others on a daily basis.  Whether by volunteering their time or honoring a local organization, Soucy has taken pride in servicing others since they began 100 years ago.
